Counsellor | Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Jane is a qualified and experienced therapeutic counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Jane offers a quiet and confidential space to talk. This space enables her clients to take time out from their everyday life, to stop and explore what is troubling them, and to be supported in a safe and non-judgemental place while talking through difficult and painful feelings and emotions. She believes that talking a problem through with a counsellor can help clients gain more insight into what is happening in their life, help to identify what is troubling them and why, and to support them in exploring their options going forward.
She works in a mainly client-led way which means that her clients are the ones who decide what they want to talk about at each session, and her clients choose what they feel happy to share and explore at a pace they feel comfortable with.
Because Jane believes that each person is a unique individual with unique needs, she will work integratively drawing on different counselling theories as appropriate.
Jane is experienced in working with the following:
Relationship difficulties
Health issues
Grief and loss
Bereavement
Loneliness
Work related issues
Stress
Life transitions
Retirement
Menopause
Anxiety
Depression
Self confidence
Low self-esteem
Jane works both short-term and long-term, and each counselling session will last up to 50 minutes.
She offers a free, no obligation 20 minute phone call for you to have a chat about what is bringing you to counselling, alongside your hopes and expectations for the process.
Jane will also tell you more about how she works so you can decide if this is what you are looking for, and will answer any questions you may have.
